New AES website live!

As some of you might have heard (or read from Twitter) we have been working hard during the past few weeks to develop a new website for Aalto Entrepreneurship Society. So what the new site brings you might ask? First of all it’s better looking and fits to our new visual identity that we are rolling out shortly.

Our focus has been in the social features as our aim is to communicate better with the community. That said all tweets and pictures (Flickr) are shown here so remember to share from the events with aaltoes tag! The site uses JS-Kit’s brand new Echo commenting system to continue the conversation in Twitter and Facebook (first in Finland?). Give it a test run and let us know what you think.

The site is still heavily under development and we hope to add new parts weekly so keep this in mind while browsing. All comments, bug reports etc are more than welcome as always. After the site is running smoothly we have few ideas in our sleeves that are going to see the light of day sometime during the fall.

For news updates it’s now also possible to subscribe to news feed with RSS, email or Twitter. Our events have been moved here so update your RSS or calendar feeds (iCal) as well. Remember to update your old bookmarks and feeds as urls have changed. More familiar features like jobs and listing of fresh Aalto startups can be found from the navigation (contact us for adding yours).

This is our first major milestone on the web to start serving the community better. I would like to thank the whole team (Katja, Linda, Onza and Niko) and their loved ones to put up with late nights of absense during this project.
