We’ve had a few days to recover from last week’s Summer of Startups Demo Day extravaganza but we take one more opportunity to say it out loud: ALL THE TEAMS THOROUGHLY ROCKED AND WE HAD ONE BLAST OF A SUMMER!!!
The spectacular demo day was the icing on the cake celebrating the 10 weeks of super hard work from the teams and encouraging these 50 aspiring entrepreneurs to continue their relentless work and keep aiming high once the summer’s over. Thanks also to the 400+ crowd that came to cheer our formidable Summer of Startups 2011 batch.

As for Playfish’ Kristian’s keynote, we recommend watching it in full below - guaranteed to leave you inspired & feel like going out and making things! On a quick recap, these are the five learnings Kristian shared on the way from Pietarsaari to Nasdaq and Facebook.
1: Build a bold vision, then make it bigger.
2: Raise more money than you think you need and from people you would hire in your team
3: In certain areas you need the best possible team. Top talent is transformational, but very scarce and expensive.
4: Keep it simple. Complexity is cryptonite for startups.
5: Become (or hire) a master story teller.
