We are Health Puzzle, a new startup in mobile health and consumer genomics space. We were privileged to get accepted to Summer of Startups 2012 and are looking for a new team member with skills in front end and mobile app development. The adventure starts on June 8!
Health Puzzle is a personalized, proactive healthcare service that empowers people to live a healthier, happier life. At Health Puzzle’s core is an innovative IT system using an individual’s genetic composition, environmental factors and medical history to prescribe personalized advice on lifestyle choices, medication, nutrition, etc.
We’ll start the journey by building demos of the consumer application.
What kind of a person are we looking for?
- Attitude is the most important thing. Be hungry, be foolish and never stop learning!
- Interest in learning about the _fascinating_ health 2.0 space. The industry knowledge you are going to gain from this adventure will for sure be helpful in the future

- Skills in front end and mobile app development
What kind of a team would you be working with?
- Nelli: DI from Aalto, responsible for HePu’s operations, product development, sales and marketing. Nelli’s background is in product development, sales, cloud technologies.. and ‘action’ in general . In order to start building HePu she moved back from Silicon Valley where she worked for an IaaS cloud software company.
- Pertti: MD, PhD is the creator of the Health Puzzle concept. Pertti has extensive experience from biochemistry, system biology and nutrition, and will be the scientific lead.
- Klasu: PhD, experienced business executive with experience from working with established companies and startups.
- The team is well-connected nationally and internationally across different disciplines. We’re going to be closely in touch with our connections in the US, in particular in the Silicon Valley.
We will tailor compensation package consisting of cash and equity based on your experience and wishes.
