However, this belief isn’t very original. It has been the same for 15 years, all the time that Aaltoes has existed. For context, around 2008, Finland’s economy was struggling and new innovation was more needed than ever. To have a place for ambitious and dedicated people with crazy ideas to come together, Aalto Entrepreneurship Society, was born. Ever since the people of Aaltoes have pushed the cruciality of solving world-changing problems through entrepreneurship in multiple programs and projects organised by driven students.

We believe that everyone should be entrepreneurial. Why? Because our society can’t afford otherwise.

As a student-run volunteer organization, we provide real-life entrepreneurial opportunities for curious individuals who want to challenge themselves and solve relevant challenges in an atmosphere where people default to action. Welfare societies, like Finland, are built on top of companies that provide needed opportunities for individuals and communities, which is why we can’t afford to not have new and old founders come up with new companies. Empowering the brightest minds to build world-changing companies is at the core of our mission, which we are bringing to life with our programs, projects and events in Startup Sauna.
